Valentines Day Short Films

Valentines Day Short Films

Valentines day is just a few weeks away and today I would like to show you guys a few short films. With so many feature films available during this holiday season we at the Holiday Network would like to show a few great short films. I really like these films and wish that I had space in this post to offer you a few dozen more. I hope that you will enjoy each of these Valentine’s day short films.

This next short is dedicated to all of those romantic evenings that just did not work out as planned.

The next film that I am going to show you could be a masterpiece. The title is Too Shy and I hope that you watch it to the very end. Trust me, it will be worth it.

Here at the holiday network we search the world for the best movies and from Thailand we have a great little romance.

Now we will take a quick animation break.

Okay that will be it for today. Please take a moment to share this post with a friend and to think about prepping for Valentine’s Day. It is not too early to think candy, flowers, jewelry or a quick getaway vacation.

Valentines Day Movies and Star Crossed Lovers

Here at the Holiday Network we have the choice where to cover ever single holiday or only the major ones. I am planning a post for Groundhog’s day, but Valentines day has so many more fans and so many more movies.

Today I would like to talk about some of the movies that I love and the couples that make them work. Also these movies will be both girl and guy friendly. After all what good is a Valentines day movie if the guy in your life will not want to watch it. We know what movies we are talking about. There will be no pure chick flicks of this list.

The first Valentines day movie, we will consider all loves stories to fit this description, is an all time classic. Like Romeo and Juliet, which I will get to later, this film features what are called star crossed lovers. Their love is the one thing that they cannot live without and it is also the thing that will destroy them in the end.

The movie is Wuthering Heights. The version is the only one that really counts. The year was 1939 and it stars Merle Oberon and Lawrence Olivier.

Next we should look at the greatest of all star crossed love stories. Romeo and Juliet. I am going to go with the one that almost won the Oscar. I am going to go with the one that is most guy friends, this is due to the fact that Juliet is played by the amazing Olivia Hussey.

The next film is Titanic. Similar to Romeo and Juliet as far as the plot goes, but there are a few thousand films that I could say that about. Watching the film it feels like these lovers have lived and loved a lifetime together in the space of two days.

Next is a movie that I have mixed emotions about. Every woman in my life loves this film and I have to admit that I have watched it a few times. The movie is Dirty Dancing and these star crossed lovers actually survive the story.

The last movie that could fall into a lot of categories. Love crazy would probably fit it best, but I can always mention it in future post. This on screen couple is awesome together and since they seem to enjoy working together we can look forward to many more films featuring them. The movie is Silver linings Playbook.

Holiday Music Videos

Holiday Music Videos

I am one of those people who love Christmas music. I start listening around the first of November and do not stop until Halloween of the next year. My love of all music holiday has forced me to avoid the standard stuff on FM radio each year. I hope that the lineup will change each year, but it is usually the same twenty to thirty songs on every station. The problem with this is that there are hundreds of songs that get missed from years past and hundreds of new ones each year.
Today I would like to highlight the underplayed songs.
These are my picks for the songs that should get more plays.

First up is Faith Hills’s Where Are You Christmas.

This has rapidly become one of my all time favorites, Hall and Oates, It Came Upon A Midnight Clear.

Darlene Love is famous for one holiday song, but I love the one that she did for the movie Home Alone 2.

Next up is the best Acapella performance of any song that I have ever heard. It is Martina McBride singing Oh Holy Night.

Next is a song from Annie Lennox, born on Christmas by the way, I thought this song would be come a classic when I heard it, but so far it has gone unnoticed. The song is Universal Child.

The Holiday Network will always go back in time where ever possible to find classics (wait until you see what we have for Valentines day) and Christmas songs have been a staple of the recording industry since the beginning.

This is the most familiar Christmas song of them all. The Christmas Song with a little twist it is a duet in this case with both Nat King Cole & Frank Sinatra.

Thank you for visiting my site. Please take a moment to bookmark this post and if there is a song you think should have been included please leave a comment and if I agree I will post it.

Audio books. They have a great 30 day trial offer. It is totally free and I just listened to a Game of Thrones book. The books are different from the series. A lot more in the books to absorb. Did I mention that it is a free trial. That is like a free book or two.
